Modernisation of the Lighting System of the Underground Parking-lotSituatedNext to the Government Palace in Vilnius
58-Watt fluorescent lamps of the underground parking-lot have been replaced by the 18W LED illuminators “Lumo 30”. Along with the replacement of the underground parking-lot’s lighting system, an automatic lighting control has been installed as well, thus, enhancing the energy saving. Motion sensors installed enable illuminators at full capacity only when there are people in the lot. When the illuminators are in a standby mode, the light intensity decreases as much as 5 times – up to 20%.
The modernisation has reduced electricity consumption of the lot at least by 5 times. Besides, the new illuminators are more reliable, while their operating time is as much as 10-12 times longer than of the old – fluorescent ones. Thus, illuminator maintenance costs will significantly drop, as well.
LUMO LED illuminators emit an even light, do not blink, they are resistant to vibration and shock, do not contain substances harmful to human health, while previous fluorescent lamps contained high levels of mercury. For this reason, the fluorescent lamps had to be appropriately utilized.
Installation of the energy-saving LUMO LED lighting will pay off for ME „Susisiekimo paslaugos“ in just a couple of years.
